Training School on Metagenomics & Metatranscriptomics in Plant Systems

Training School on Metagenomics & Metatranscriptomics in Plant Systems, 22-23 April 2026

The COST Action Training School on “Metagenomics & Metatranscriptomics in Plant Systems” has been successfully completed.

The event was organised by scientists from the Working Group Microbial Biogeochemistry (MicGeo) at ZALF (Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research, Germany) in collaboration with ROOT-BENEFIT. This two-day online training brought together researchers to explore advanced methodologies for the study of plant-associated microbiomes.

The programme combined theoretical lectures, hands-on bioinformatic training, and invited scientific presentations, providing participants with comprehensive methodological insights into the application of ‘omics’ approaches for the study of microbial ecology.
