This 2-day course is a combination of lectures and practical sessions. Trainees will learn the methodology for conducting a meta-analysis using examples in metafor package in R. After successfully completing this course trainees should be able to conduct a meta-analysis on their own and interpret the results of published meta-analyses, including the ability to formulate questions for systematic review / meta-analysis, to conduct meta-analysis using R (calculation of the overall effect size, assessment of heterogeneity and meta-regression, and conduct sensitivity analyses and test for publication bias). Good familiarity with R is required to take the course.
The Trainer is Julia Koricheva, Professor of Ecology at the Royal Holloway University of London”
The participants need to be experienced users of R to take the course.
