Call for participants to the Workshop “Scientific Communication in Practice”

We are pleased to announce a dedicated Work Task meeting focused on creating impactful dissemination tools and content for the ROOT-BENEFIT Action. The meeting will take place in Larissa, Greece, from 4th to 6th March 2026.

This event will bring together:

  • Science communication specialists
  • Professional video producers
  • Illustrators and animation experts

Our goal is to collaboratively design and produce high-quality communication  materials that will effectively share the objectives, progress, and outcomes of the ROOT-BENEFIT Action with diverse audiences, including the scientific community, stakeholders, policymakers, and the general public.

Who should attend?

We are inviting COST Action members who:

  • have demonstrated experience in science communication and outreach
  • have a strong interest in co-creating communication products
  • are willing to actively contribute during the meeting and follow up on the resulting outputs of the workshop

What you will gain

Participants will:

  • Work hands-on with communication and creative professionals
  • Co-design videos, visual materials, and dissemination concepts
  • Help shape the public face of ROOT-BENEFIT and increase its impact

How to apply

Applicants are requested to complete the application form and submit a letter of interest (max 1 page) detailing relevant experience. Supporting examples of prior communication activities or materials may be uploaded where available.
